Man On Fire
Although Man On
Fire was officially introduced to the world through the
release of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut CD in
1998, it was their sophomore effort,
“The Undefined Design”,
released in 2003 on ProgRock Records, which took
the progressive rock community by storm (Sea of Tranquility: 5
out of 5, Prog4You.com: 9.9 out of 10, Progression Magazine:
13.5 out of 16). Featuring special guest David Ragsdale (Kansas,
Salem Hill) on violin, this CD quickly rose to become one of the
label’s best selling releases to date.

Built
around the keyboards, zendrum and vocals of producer Jeff
Hodges, Man on Fire also includes the elastic fretless bass
and muscular guitar work of Eric Sands, the dynamic
rhythms of drummer/percussionist Rob Sindon, and the
vivid word imagery of lyricist Steve Carroll.
Collectively they knit together the signature Man on Fire sound,
which has been described as unique, modern and adventurous with
a refreshing lack of obvious influences.
Man on Fire
is thrilled to announce that guitar legend Adrian Belew
will be the primary guitarist for the band’s brand new upcoming
concept CD, “Habitat”. Adrian brings his signature
style to this release, providing a stunning array of searing
solos and unique textural soundscapes to the recordings.
Adrian’s contributions add a whole new layer to the CD, which
Man on Fire believes to be their most definitive musical
statement to date. In addition to the contributions from Adrian
Belew, “Habitat” features the amazing artistry of former Kansas
violinist David Ragsdale, who adds an intoxicating
combination of gorgeous, melodic atmosphere and fierce technical
virtuosity to the tracks on which he performs. The final mixes
of “Habitat” are being mastered by veteran mastering engineer
Brad Blackwood (Evanescence).
Man On Fire’s ROSfest performance will see the band debut
in live performance “Habitat” in its entirety. The band’s
line-up will feature special guest Steve Katsikis from
the band Little Atlas on keyboards and vocals, as well as
renowned session pro Richard Meeder on fretless bass and
vocals, to fully flesh out the band’s lush, multi-layered
production sound.
