Man On Fire
MAN ON FIRE was officially introduced to the world
with the release of their self-titled debut CD in 1998. Critical acclaim
from the top Progressive Rock publications and webzines around the globe
helped to quickly establish the band as a unique voice on the current scene.
With a wide and varied range of influences, the MAN ON
FIRE sound crosses several musical genres, combining melodic vocals,
molten fretless bass, layered keyboards, polyrhythmic grooves and heavy
guitar soundscapes into a cohesive whole, fully utilizing the latest in
state-of-the-art studio production.
Built around the core foundation of
Jeff Hodges (vocals,
keyboards, zendrum, production) and
Eric Sands
(guitars, basses), the band seeks out additional top flight musicians to
round out their musical palette, adding dynamics to both their studio work
and in concert. The current live performance version of MAN ON FIRE
features the fiery fretwork of
Mike Martin (guitars,
vocals) and the dynamic rhythms of
David Smith
(drums, percussion, vocals).

MAN ON FIRE has significantly built on the foundation
of their debut album with the release of their second full length CD, "The
Undefined Design" released in July of 2003 on ProgRock Records. Featuring
the inimitable violin work of special guest David Ragsdale (Kansas, Salem
Hill, Smashing Pumpkins) and the lyrics of longtime creative collaborator
Steve Carroll, “The Undefined Design” is a fresh and innovative take on
modern Progressive Rock.
MAN ON FIRE is currently busy promoting "The Undefined
Design" and has earnestly begun work in the studio developing the material
for their third, as yet untitled, full length concept
CD, with a projected Fall 2004 release.
